Enjoy Spring Break in Minnesota

While many spring break trips bring people to Florida beaches or Colorado ski mountains, there is plenty to do right here in Minnesota. You can have an awesome spring break without having to book a flight or deal with long lines at the airport. The Mall of America has everything needed to bring you an epic spring break vacation, from roller coasters, ax throwing, and go-carts to margaritas, cotton candy, and fancy steak dinners. Plus of course miles of shopping, comedy shows, nail salons and so much more. Read on for an epic spring break at the Mall of America!

This trip was sponsored by the Mall of America and Radisson Blu. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

1. Stay at the Award-Winning Radisson Blu

The Radisson Blu is a gorgeous hotel attached to the Mall via skyway, making it a super convenient place to stay during your spring break vacation. Radisson Blu was rated top ten hotels in Minnesota and has a restaurant on-site called FireLake. Start with a cocktail or a nice glass of pinot noir, then enjoy pork, steak, salmon, or pizza and finish the meal with a slice of cheesecake. Fun fact, several of their dishes and cocktails use honey from bees that live on the Mall of America roof!

Radisson Blu offers two spring break packages to make trip planning easy. Check out the Rad Blu Spring Break package, which includes overnight accommodations along with tickets to many of the Mall’s attractions like Nickelodeon Universe, FlyOver America, Moose Mountain Adventure Golf, and more! The Fort Blu Kids Camping package includes overnight accommodations, games, books, a stuffed animal, s’mores delivered to your room, and more!

2. Over 50 Bars and Restaurants

There are plenty of options for bars with fun drinks so you can kick off your spring break vacation! If you’re looking for tropical vibes and you want to feel like you’re in Key West, head to Margaritaville on the third floor for a dangerously delicious salt rimmer margarita and fried egg roll appetizer. Enjoy the lit-up palm trees and upbeat music.

With 50 restaurants and bars in the Mall of America, you’ll find something for everyone. Some of our favorites include Buffalo Wild Wings, the Rain Forest Cafe, and Crave. Click here for a full list of bars and restaurants in the Mall of America, along with a few great happy hour deals!

4. More Than 500 Shops

I’m not typically a big shopper, but when you’re at the Mall of America, you have to do some shopping!  With over 520 stores you will definitely find something you love. Some of my favorite stores are L.L. Bean, Columbia, Macy’s, and Fjall Raven. Use the Mall of America app or the directories scattered around the Mall to find a specific store, otherwise, I recommend you just wander around because you’ll definitely stumble across a place you want to check out.

Ahh, I tried axe throwing a few years ago and it was a lot of fun! 😛 I’d love to check out the aquarium someday and although I’m not much of a shopper either, it’d be cool to visit the Mall of America someday!

Blooming ‘eck! 520 stores!? That sounds like a bit of a hiking trip, even if you stayed in the mall! Do you know how far you ended up walking while you were exploring all those shops, restaurants and activities!? I bet it works out a similar amount to when you’re hiking in a park!? 🙂

Staying at the Radisson Blu looks fabulous too.
